Answers to #12:
1. Playboy. Hugh Hefner's friend's mother worked at the Playboy car company and suggested they use the name playboy after another magazine sued Hef for using trademark infringement when he called his magazine Stag Party.
2. The Yankee Clipper was the first aircraft to start commercial transatlantic mail service that is its tail(registration) number and the dates it made its first flight and the date it crashed. And before any of you argue; YES! it was a damned famous plane. Also Yankee Clipper was the nickname of Joe DiMaggio Marililyn Monroe's Husband.
3. X= Radioplane company.
Stage 2: Marilyn Monroe. She was the first Playboy Sweetheart of the month (they were not called playmates until 2 yrs after playboy was launched). She was "discovered" by a photographer when she was working as a painter at the Radioplane aircraft company.
So there ye go...
